School Days

Day one; scared to death
Little person; big school
Friends are here; already made
Teachers smile; don’t be afraid

Second year; still too young
Summer time; outside we go
To the park; down to the lake
Soak up the rays; breathe the air

Teenage years; all quite new
Exam trials; a time of fear
Nightmare days; full of torment
Take me back to summer please

GCSEs, that’s all it takes
To send someone into nervous breaks
Life is a struggle; so too is this year
Pass the tests; move up again

More exams every day
Why can’t there just be a break?
Mind on tests; not on class
Let’s just hope that we all pass
