Abercrombie and Fitch models, topless and unmistakable.
Rock hard abs and tanned skin, making Average Joes seem out of place.
Women swoon, falling at their feet.
Wanting so much for them to notice.
To sweep them off their feet like an old romance movie.
They lie.
Romance is not like that.
The models make us look fat.
Damn society, making us think that we all have to look like models and ridiculing us when we don’t.
Promises, promises.
Bottomless, empty promises of fine dining and weight losses that don’t work, unless you starve yourselves.
Stand still.
Stare at those men.
Be absorbed by those abs that glisten with sweat.
Knees buckle.
I roll my eyes and laugh at those women who fall.
Fall at the feet of the Abercrombie and Fitch models.
